If you’re losing: change something
Never change a winning plan; always change a losing one. Diagnose what’s happening and try a concrete alternative.
Quick questions at the changeover
- How am I losing points? My errors or their winners?
- Which of their shots is hurting me? How can I stop them from using it?
- What makes them uncomfortable? (high balls, low balls, net, slow pace)
- Try a change for at least 2–3 games before judging it.
