How to play against… · 3 min read
Against an all-court player
If there’s no obvious weakness, win through consistency in your plan, your first-serve percentage and the big points.
The plan
- Look for their “B shot”: everyone has a less reliable stroke under pressure. Test it on big points.
- Play your best pattern at a high percentage: don’t change your game out of respect.
- First serve in (>65%): it reduces their ability to attack you.
- Win the “hidden points” (see Key moments): that’s where close matches are decided.
To review after the match
In the app, when you mark that your opponent was “Full”, we ask whether you tried:
- I went after their least reliable shot on big points
- I kept my pattern at a high percentage
- I made lots of first serves
